Information for foreign participants

Official host organisation
Foreign relations department of the Russian Federation Ministry of Defense.

Obligations of the host organisation
Russian party covers all the expenses connected with the stay of foreign participants in the Russian Federation:
•       transfers to and from the airport;
•       hotel accommodation;
•       full board (three meals a day);
•       visa fees;
•       medical insurance;
•       cultural program;
•       transfers in Moscow.

Air flight
It is responsibility of the participants of the Festival to cover expenses for air flight to and from Moscow.

Period of visit
Arrival in Moscow: 30-31 August 2010
Departure from Moscow: 10-11 September 2010

Visa support
Processing and issue of visas in local consulates of Russian Federation in countries of invited military units' residence will be organised by Russian party. For visa application the following data about foreign military participants is requested:
•       surname and names of a member of the armed forces (as written in passport);
•       number of passport and published data;
•       citizenship;
•       date of birth;
•       duty station.

In order to obtain a Russian visa passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the visa expiry date (11 September 2010). Passport must contain at least one blank visa-designated page.
All visa fees will be paid by Russian party.


Legal position of invited military personnel
Legal position of invited military personnel will be considered according to customs and rules of modern diplomatic practice, therefore invited participants will be issued a business single entry visa.

Import of weapons and ammunition
In order to obtain a permission for import and export of weapons and ammunition in Russian Federation the following information is required:
•       surname and name of a member of the armed forces;
•       type, serial number and caliber of weapon;
•       amount of ammunition for every imported piece of weapon.

Weapons and ammunition storage
Imported weapons and ammunition can be kept both at embassies and on the territory of Moscow Kremlin commandant's office and in separate rooms of the Presidential regiment (Moscow Kremlin).

Accommodation
Russian party undertakes provision of accommodation for all participants of the Festival in at least 3-star hotels.

Meals
All participants will be provided with three hot meals a day in hotels or equal meals during rehearsals and other Festival activities.

Storage of music instruments and necessary equipment
Host organisation in case of need provides proper conditions for storage of large-size music instruments, uniform and stage costumes of participants close to the place for holding a Festival.

Cultural program
Every delegation will be provided with varied cultural program, content and schedule оf which are now under development.

Time of the unit performance
Preferable time of the unit performance is up to 7 minutes (we recommend, but not strictly limit this time).

Festival organisers would be obliged for assistance in early receipt of the following information:
•    name and contacts of the person, responsible for the decisions, connected with the organisation of the visit of the military band to Moscow;
•    exact name of military unit/artist group, arriving from your country, digital emblem or logo of the unit, photos of unit members in full uniform, short video clips, materials for the history of the military unit, official website link. These materials will be used both in official booklet as well as on the Festival website and as design elements of the Festival promotion materials;
•    special requirements and wishes, connected with the band’s stay and performance in Moscow.
