The brass band of the National Assotiation of bersaglieri of Lecco was created on 28th September 1997 in honour of bersagliere Guglielmo Colombo, who had founded the division in 1926.

The "Storici Sbandieratori delle Contrade di Cori" group was founded in September 1976 by a group of young man who wanted to reintroduce the medieval waving of the flag. After having studied this medieval art form from authentic documents "Acta" which described folkloristic traditions from the 16thCentury, they decided they wanted to exhibit the culture of the ancient "Gens Corana" both at home and abroad.

Based in Rome, the Band was created in 1937, and its first examination performance took place in the presence of Pietro Mascagni. The Band is in charge of music accompaniment for the state events in the Presidential palace (in turn with the other national military bands).
