The Combined Band of the Russian Emergencies Ministry (REM) features some of the best service’s musicians representing the Exemplary Band of the REM as well as the ensembles of the REM Moscow Chief Department, REM Civil Protection Academy and ‘Leader’ Special High-Risk Rescue Operations Center.

The band is engaged in a plethora of different activities, from taking part in state official events, military ceremonies and remembrance days to accompanying important sports, military-historic and cultural events.

In 2020, the REM Combined Band became part of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo, staging a show at the Patriot Park, the military-patriotic park of recreation and leisure of the Russian Federation Armed Forces.

The ensemble’s creativity path is closely related to the activities and philosophy of the proper Emergencies Ministry and aimed at developing among its staff and officers the sense of duty and loyalty as well as shaping careful and respectful attitude towards Russian arts, history, traditions and culture.
