Poltava battle exhibition, commemorating its 300th anniversary, open in the State Historic Museum
”Poltava battle is a significant event of the Russian military history, and this year is its anniversary. That is why we chose this event as the historic background of Spasskaya Tower 2009 – notes Sergey Smirnov, Member of the Public Council of Spasskaya Tower Festival, - however the 300th anniversary of the battle is the core of many other events of this year. I would say that one of the most important of them – both for history and for the people – is the exhibition in the Historic Museum”
Exhibition will last till September 28, 2009.
