On June 25, the Military Bands in the City Parks project will welcome the Central Military Band of the Russian Ministry of Defense. The ensemble will stage a concert at 2 pm (14:00) on Moscow Manezhnaya Square near the Marshal Zhukov monument.
The event is being organized by the Directorate of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo and the State Historic Museum, a longstanding friend and partner of our Festival, with the support of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Founded in 1927, the Central Military Band of the Russian Ministry of Defense is the leading creative group of the Russian Armed Forces and one of the world’s most renowned military ensembles. The band recorded the State Anthem of the Russian Federation, regarded as the standard of excellence, as well as an anthology of Russian military music, stored now in the State Archive of Television and Radio Programs.
This Saturday, led by Lieutenant Colonel Konstantin Petrovich, military musicians will perform a wide variety of compositions. Muscovites and guests of the capital will have a chance to enjoy both classical and modern music pieces composed both by Russian and international authors.
