This year, the Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival is celebrating its fifteenth birthday. To commemorate this momentous occasion, on August 19, we will start the second official festival venue on Moscow’s VDNH, which will be open during the day for all VDNH visitors.
Being one of the youngest military tattoos, the Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival has already secured its right to be among the world’s best music events. Throughout its history, the Festival has welcomed guests from more than 50 countries, while the project itself, due to its rich and intense character, has grown from a series of evening shows into a true cultural phenomenon, encopmassing events of various kinds that enjoy huge popularity both with guests and participants.
The Spasskaya Tower Festival’s main goal is to popularize military culture, revive
Following the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on holding the Year of Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia in 2022, the Public Council of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival, with the direct participation and support of the Government of Moscow, decided to transfer the Festival’s daytime cultural, entertaining, and interactive activities to VDNH, aiming at expanding the project in terms of scale, number of participants, and audience attraction. As one of the largest exposition, museum, and recreational complexes in the world, VDNH opened its doors to become the second official venue of the 2022 Spasskaya Tower Festival. The Center of National Equestrian Traditions will take on the leading role in carrying out the Festival’s daytime activities.
This year, all our guests will be treated to the breathtaking shows staged not only by the amazing riders of the Kremlin Equestrian School but a plethora of other participants as well, featuring our international guest from Germany, the Cavalry Escort of the Presidential Regiment, the First Special Regiment of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Horse Theater of the Kremlin Equestrian School, and others. Visitors will also have a chance to attend concerts staged by the Russian and foreign participants of the Spasskaya Tower Festival main shows. Along with cultural and entertaining activities, the Center of National Equestrian Traditions has prepared a series of horse riding competitions, while our youngest guests will become part of various interactive and animated activities, workshops and master classes, and even have the chance to ride a pony.
