The Band of the Moscow Military Music College named after Lieutenant General Valery Khalilov

The College dates back to 1937, when Moscow School No. 2 of Military Musicians of the Red Army was established. In 1956, the school was named The Moscow Suvorov Military Music College. The band performs at leading venues across the country, including the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, the Moscow International House of Music, the State Kremlin Palace, as well as venues all over Europe. The band’s repertoire features classical Russian and Western European music, as well as modern music and jazz compositions.
The band participates in major state events, military ceremonies, and international military music festivals. As of 1940, all military parades on Red Square have been opened by the drum corps of the Military Music College.
